In July 2024, the Vermont State Legislature passed Act 139, a new law aimed at strengthening reading instruction for young learners. One key component includes a forthcoming notification to caregivers if their child is significantly below grade level in reading.

Youth members of the OVX (Our Voices Exposed) advocacy group represented CVSD schools and the greater community with poise, passion, and purpose on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the annual Vermont Youth Statehouse Rally.

As part of the 30th-annual Penguin Plunge, teams from CVU, Hinesburg Community School and Williston Schools raised nearly $50,000 for Special Olympics Vermont.
